Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a treatment that uses a patient's own blood to promote healing and regeneration. Blood is drawn from the patient, processed to concentrate the platelets with a centrifuge, and then reinjected into specific areas of the body. Platelets contain growth factors that stimulate tissue repair, collagen production, and cell regeneration, making PRP a popular choice for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and other medical uses. Blood is taken from the patient by our experienced clinician, the plasma is then separated from the blood cells with a centrifuge to activate the platelets and stem cells. The plasma is then drawn up into needle free syringes and used as a serum on the clients skin after the skin has been prepared with a microneedling device which punctures the skin with fine needles. Active Infections: PRP should be postponed if there are any skin infections or systemic infections present. Chronic Liver Disease: Liver disorders that affect blood coagulation may prevent PRP treatment. Avoid Touching the Area: Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection. The skin may feel tender to touch and feeling tightening of skin because the treatment immediately shortens the elastin fibres. No Strenuous Exercise: Avoid strenuous physical activity, saunas, hot baths, and excessive sun exposure for 24-48 hours after the procedure. Hydration: Drink plenty of water to help maintain hydration and support the body's healing process. Avoid Makeup: For facial treatments, avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours to reduce the risk of irritation. Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners: These can increase the risk of bruising and should be avoided for 24 to 48 hours after treatment.
