What is Profhilo®?

How does Profhilo® work?

Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally within the body and plays an important role in maintaining skin hydration and tissue structure.

Profhilo contains a combination of high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid. Once injected into the skin, the product spreads through the treated area and works to provide intense hydration while supporting the skin's overall structure.

What happens during a Profhilo® treatment?

Your appointment should begin with a consultation. Our clinicians will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and expectations, and determine whether Profhilo is suitable for you.

During treatment, small amounts of Profhilo are injected at specific points in the treatment area. Because the product is designed to spread through the tissue, relatively few injection points are required compared with some other injectable treatments.

Treatment time can vary, but the procedure is generally relatively quick.

Is there any downtime?

Profhilo is a minimally invasive injectable treatment, but temporary reactions can occur.

You may notice small raised areas at the injection points immediately after treatment. These usually settle as the product disperses. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can also occur.
